Tennessee Conference for International Leadership (TN-CIL)

What is TN-CIL?

TN-CIL Team

Student leaders from across Tennessee gather for this annual conference. One hundred participants include international students and U.S. study abroad students currently enrolled in Tennessee colleges and universities. TN-CIL includes workshops, community service projects, team building games, diversity exercises, and social events. Students and staff present conference sessions focused on study abroad, campus diversity, international programming, personal goals, group dynamics, and more.

The Tennessee Conference for International Leadership (TN-CIL) includes leadership training, cross-cultural communication, activities, social events, and a chance to learn more about yourself and the world! Students will have an opportunity to participate in a service project. Also, it is a wonderful chance to meet interesting people from other schools in Tennessee and develop leadership skills with an international focus.

Goals of TN-CIL include:

  • Provide tools for developing leadership skills
  • Challenge perspectives of global leadership
  • Promote friendship and networks among international and study abroad students
  • Promote cross cultural understanding on our campuses and beyond
  • Recognize differing styles of leadership across cultures
  • Provide an opportunity for students to present workshops in front of their peers
  • Share your culture with others
