Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to create, curate, and facilitate co-curricular experiences that provide the Vanderbilt community with opportunities to build a sense of belonging, support lifelong learning, and engage in active citizenship.  In order to support and centralize student engagement across campus, our office will:

  • Oversee the registration process for Vanderbilt’s 500+ registered student organizations
  • Assist student organizations with accessing and managing their finances
  • Support the Student Organization Funding (SOF) Committee allocation process for student organizations
  • Educate student leaders about Vanderbilt University policies and support compliance efforts
  • Provide online resources to student organization leaders and coaches
  • Offer opportunities for training and leadership development through various student org leader trainings and student leader workshops
  • Work alongside a variety of community partners, non-profits, organizations, and agencies in the Metro Nashville area to provide meaningful and engaging service opportunities for our students
  • Provide in the advisement of Vanderbilt Student Government
  • Provide coaching support to various student organizations
  • Host the annual Student Involvement Fair
  • Conduct campus-wide elections such as Vanderbilt Student Government
