Campus Construction
Important Construction Information for the 2026-2027 Academic Year
Campus construction projects will continue across campus throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
Active projects can be viewed on the Vanderbilt Facilities website.
The work associated with these projects will produce significant noise including blasting, backup warnings from heavy equipment, hammering and sawing, concrete pours, and drone flights. In addition, work on the site will cause traffic congestion, pedestrian and vehicular detours, movement of construction machinery throughout the site, and occasional dusty conditions.
To meet critical progress milestones, work that produces noises like the ones mentioned above, will begin at 7 a.m. and sometimes earlier. Concrete pours may, and probably will, occur as early as 5 a.m. and mitigation efforts will be employed to reduce noise.
We regret the inconveniences that may be caused by construction activity and noise. We want you to be aware of them so that you may make informed decisions as we move forward with the 2026-2027 housing assignment process. Any concerns should be directed to constr_alerts@vanderbilt.edu.
