Blakemore House

Blakemore House is the latest addition to Vanderbilt’s residence hall system. Completed in 1984 and purchased by Vanderbilt in 2011, Blakemore House was completely renovated in 2012.

Located at 2818 Vanderbilt Place, adjacent to Vanderbilt Police’s Central Campus Precinct headquarters and near Dudley Field, Blakemore House will be home for 144 students on three floors. It consists mostly of large double rooms (60 SqFt larger than the average campus double), complete with a full bath. There are also six triple rooms and a twelve suite-doubles (two doubles sharing a half-bath) that share communal bathrooms on their floors. The building is fully air-conditioned and equipped with smoke detectors and sprinklers throughout. Access is restricted to residents and authorized university staff.

Amenities at Blakemore House include a large welcoming foyer, a fireplace lounge for relaxation and study, a large study lounge, a study room, a music practice room, and a laundry.
