The value of your Vanderbilt education extends well beyond your years on campus, especially when it comes to career development. We offer some career planning resources for our alumni, along with ways you can help fellow Vanderbilt students seeking to find their path.
Job Resources for Recent Graduates
If you recently graduated from Vanderbilt and are searching for your first professional opportunity, you can continue to access a limited number of services and resources for up to two years following graduation through the Career Center.
Recent graduates can continue to meet with members of our professional coaching staff. Contact the Center via email or by phone at 615-322-2750 to set an appointment with a coach in person, through Skype or by phone to discuss how to identify and pursue opportunities.
Due to the volume of undergraduate students we see during fall and spring recruiting, there may be an increased wait time for appointments during these periods.
Job Postings in DoreWays
As a recent graduate you can continue to access DoreWays to learn about employers coming to campus, and search for and apply to jobs. Simply login through the Alumni portal using your VUnetID and password. If you have login difficulties, please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org explaining the problem.
Please note that the Student Login link found on the Center’s home and student pages are to be used by current undergraduate students only.
Career Fairs, Workshops and Information Sessions
As an alumnus, you can attend workshops, employer information sessions and career fairs hosted by the Center. During the academic year, login through the Alumni portal to view and register for workshops and information sessions, and view the list of companies participating in our career fairs.

Share your experiences
Alumni play a critical role in assisting Vanderbilt students in the exploration of potential career paths. Whether it’s through casual conversation, a workshop something in between, the advice, insight and experience you can offer has a significant impact on students’ career decisions. We invite you to partner with us for student-alumni engagement programs throughout the year.
Volunteer to be a guest speaker or panelist to provide advice and inspire students during in-person and virtual events.
Lead a workshop to help students build new professional skills.
Alumni-in-Residence Program: Meet with students one-on-one to discuss career paths, occupations, industry information, the hiring process and more.
Recruit Vanderbilt students
Vanderbilt has a robust on-campus recruiting program, and we believe in the power of the network formed by our exceptional community of students, parents and alumni. If your organization is interested in recruiting on campus, you can direct them to DoreWays or email email@example.com. Your participation is a way of expanding the career resources students and other alumni benefit from now and throughout their future careers.
