Kappa Alpha Order

Kappa Alpha Order was founded at Washington College in Lexington, Virginia in 1865. Currently, Kappa Alpha Order has 133 active chapters across the United States, and has initiated more than 150,000 members since 1865. KA’s values instill honor, and aim to provide “The Moral Compass for the Modern Gentleman.”

Chi Chapter was established on April 9, 1883 at Vanderbilt University. Members are involved heavily throughout campus both intellectually and extracurricularly, and strive to create impactful change in various areas of interest throughout campus and the larger Nashville community. The chapter has various philanthropy initiatives throughout the year linked to current members’ passions. Additionally, Chi Chapter strives to be a leader within our own community to drive social change at a national level.
