Overview:

Matthew is a 2nd year Ph.D. student in the Interdisciplinary Materials Science program. He works under the guidance of Dr. Kane Jennings to synthesize a variety of polymer thin films for use as membranes and coatings. He enjoys participating in scientific outreach with VINSE because it allows him to give back to a local community that is very special to him and better communicate scientific ideas to people of varied backgrounds. Matthew has previously been a guide in both cleanroom and solar cell outreach programs, and is now additionally helping with the design of the new forensics-themed outreach program.
