Overview:

Christina Mercado is a 1st year Ph.D. Student in the Department of Chemistry studying under the direction of Dr. Jens Meiler. Her research includes computational and structural biology and evaluating the structure of oncogenic mutations of membrane proteins EGFR and HER2 with biophysical techniques.

Christina is thrilled to be participating in outreach programs, passing along scientific inspiration. This is Christina’s first year participating as a VINSE NanoGuide.
