Residence halls open after Winter Break: Friday, January 2, 2026 at 9 am
First Day of Spring 2026 Classes: Monday, January 5, 2026
Halls close for Spring Break: Saturday, March 7, 2026 at 9 am
Halls open after Spring Break: Sunday, March 15, 2026 at 9 am
Residence halls close for non-graduating students: Saturday, May 2, 2026 at 9 am
Commencement: Friday, May 8, 2026
Residence halls close for graduating students: Saturday, May 9, 2026 at 1 pm

Maymester
- Move In (Spring 2026 on-campus residents): Between Saturday, May 2 and Sunday, May 10 (dependent on spaces being ready for occupancy)
- Move In (Students NOT residing in on-campus for the Spring 2026 semester): Saturday, May 2 at 2 pm
- Move Out: Saturday, May 30 at 9 am
Summer Session 1
- Move In: Sunday, May 31 at 12 pm
- Move Out: Saturday, July 4 at 9 am
Summer Session 2
- Move In: Sunday, July 5 at 12 pm
- Move Out: Saturday, August 8 at 9 am

First-Year International Student Move-In Day for Required International Student Orientation: TBA
Transfer International Student Move-In Day for Optional International Student Orientation Participants: TBA
- NOTE: International transfer students will be contacted with information to sign up for International Student Orientation in June 2026. International transfer students who do not participate should plan to move in on Friday, August 21.
Transfer Student On-Campus Move-In Day: Friday, August 21, 2026
First-Year Move-In Day: Saturday, August 22, 2026
Upper-Division Residence Halls Open: Sunday, August 23, 2026
- NOTE: Continuing upper-division students residing in the Nashville community or elsewhere over the summer months must ensure their summer lease/sublet extends through Sunday, August 23. We are not able to accommodate early move-in requests due to early lease end dates.
First Day of Classes: Wednesday, August 26, 2026
Residence halls close for Thanksgiving Break: Saturday, November 21, 2026 at 9 am
Residence halls open after Thanksgiving Break: Sunday, November 29, 2026 at 9 am
Residence halls close for Winter Break: Sunday, December 20, 2026 at 9 am
- All residence halls and Greek houses are considered closed during the winter break period and students are expected to depart campus. Additional information is available on the Break Housing website.
