Kristen Wederski, M.A.

Practicum Trainee
Pronouns: she/her/hers

It is a great privilege to bear witness to the stories and experiences of students. Humans do not exist in a vacuum; our being is the culmination of experiences, relationships, and the systems surrounding us. I utilize a strengths-based approach that recognizes the unique experiences of diverse identities and aim to create a space that is empathetic and empowering to those wanting to explore and understand themselves at a deeper level. My intention is to build a collaborative relationship with students to help them heal and reach their goals.

Kristen is a doctoral student studying Clinical Psychology at the University of Denver. She earned her Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the University of Denver and her Master’s in Child Study and Human Development from Tufts University. She has experience working with children and adolescents with chronic health conditions, grief therapy, couples and family work, and in partial-hospitalization substance use treatment centers. Kristen utilizes a flexible and integrative therapeutic approach to best meet the client’s needs. Her foundation for any therapy is to take a relational focus informed by evidence-based practices in humanistic, attachment, and behavioral psychology. Through a collaborative relationship, she aims to help the student identify patterns, create change, and build on resilience that helps one overcome life obstacles. She is interested in chronic health conditions, human sexuality, relationships, identity development, substance use, and early attachment wounds.

When she is not working, Kristen loves to spend time with her partner, friends, and family. She enjoys traveling, biking, dancing, being in the mountains or on the lake, and discovering fun restaurants.
