CSW 9/18 Updates

September is Recovery Month! We have several upcoming events that are open to all in order to celebrate.

1.       Vanderbilt Recovery Support Open House 9/18 12 pm – 1pm Come observe one of our on campus recovery meetings. Food will be served. All are welcome, regardless of if you are in recovery or not. Location: Center for Student Wellbeing

2.       Vanderbilt Recovery Support Friends and Family Group Wednesday 9/26 12 pm – 1pm The Friends and Family Group is geared towards students or staff who have a loved one struggling with substance abuse or in recovery. This open house meeting is open to all, even If you are just curious to learn more. A light lunch will be served. Location: Center for Student Wellbeing

Join us on Tuesday, September 18th for the first [IM]Perfection Project Speak-Out event of the school year. We invite undergraduate and graduate students to come listen to their peers share their stories about topics related to perfectionism, fear of failure, and mental health at Vanderbilt.  Hot chocolate and donuts will be served!

CSW Peer-to-Peer Wellbeing Coaching

Peer Guides (PGs) are Vanderbilt undergraduate students who have received training in wellbeing coaching (time management, stress reduction, social support, etc.). If you or someone you know is interested in meeting with a PG for individual coaching, please call the Center for Student Wellbeing at 615-322-0480 or visit in person to schedule an appointment. PG coaching began this week and the current hours are:

·         Mondays 2:30-3:30pm

·         Tuesdays 10:30 am-12:30 pm

·         Fridays 11:30 am -2:30 pm
