Neurobiology of Trauma

Those who have experienced trauma have a different experience of the world. Their brains change when traumatic experiences happen. Come learn about what happens to the brain and body and how we can better understand trauma.

 

Yoga for Trauma Survivors

Center for Student Wellbeing

Project Safe is excited to offer our Yoga for Trauma Survivors program. In collaboration with the Center for Student Wellbeing, Project Safe will be offering a 90 minute program for Survivors of Trauma. The first 30 minutes will be an informative session about the ways trauma impacts the body and the benefits of yoga practice. The last hour will be an opportunity for students to practice newly learned skills. Students of all levels are welcome to join.

 

Escalation: Dating Violence Workshop

The Escalation Workshop is a 90-minute training consisting of a video and facilitated discussion on the topic of relationship violence. Participants learn about the prevalence and warning signs of dating violence and how to support those who have been impacted.

 

Green Dot Awareness Week

October 2-7   |   11-2PM

We will be starting off Domestic Violence Awareness Month with Green Dot Awareness Week! We will be celebrating the amazing Green Dots that happen every day on our campus and our community commitment to prevent sexual violence, dating violence and stalking. Come play games, share stories, and recommit yourself to putting your green dots on our campus map and helping to keep our community safe. Monday, Wednesday and Friday we will be on the Rand Wall. Tuesday and Thursday we will be in the Commons Center.
