Farewells and New Faces in Residential Education
Please join me and the rest of the OHARE staff in sending good wishes to Sharese Shannon and Kate Reed.
Sharese Shannon, Area Coordinator for Highland Quad, has accepted a position as a Student Success Coach for Inside Track at Austin Peay University. Sharese served as a member of our staff for 3 years.
Kate Reed, Area Coordinator at the Ingram Commons, has accepted a position as an Assistant Director for Residence Life at Sewanee: The University of the South. Kate served as a member of our staff for 3 years.
We are also pleased to welcome four new members into our OHARE family:
Lani San Antonio joins our team as the Associate Director for Residential Education at the Martha Rivers Ingram Commons. Lani comes to us from Clemson University where she served as an Assistant Director for Residence Life and doctoral student. In her new role, Lani will provide mentorship to our Area Coordinator staff and work collaboratively with live-in faculty to shape the first year experience at Vanderbilt.
Doug Ashcroft joins our team as an Area Coordinator. He comes to us from Louisiana State University where he served as a Residence Life Coordinator for the Laville Honors House.
Kevin Cleland joined our team as the new Graduate Assistant for Marketing & Communications. Kevin came to us from the University of Colorado – Boulder where he served as a Residence Life Coordinator. He is pursuing a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration.
Kristen Webb was promoted to Graduate Assistant for Programming. She previously served as a Head Resident and Resident Advisor for two years at Vanderbilt. She is pursuing her master’s degree in Human Development Counseling.
