FutureVU Mobility Expo

The Division of Administration hosted a FutureVU Mobility Expo on November 6, 2018. The event served as the public launch of MoveVU, the university’s strategic mobility and transportation plan, and an opportunity to announce that Vanderbilt received a $4.5 million, three-year federal CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Management) grant, which the university will match.

The expo also provided students, faculty and staff an opportunity to explore a variety of efforts and activities, including:

  • Vanderbilt’s mobility and transportation vision and progress
  • Transportation research being conducted by faculty and students
  • Sustainability and how it relates to mobility
  • FutureVU and current building projects on campus
  • A scooter safe-riding course sponsored by Vanderbilt University Public Safety and scooter providers
  • Pop-up crosswalks designed to draw attention to the issue of pedestrian safety
