Host a regional Vanderbilt Chapter event in collaboration with Vanderbilt Alumni Relations

Help host and/or organize regional Vanderbilt Chapter events.  Invitations include local alumni, current students, parents, and Vanderbilt friends.

NOTE: Should a host be needed in your area, you will be contacted by a representative in the Alumni Relations Office for more information.

Assist with Vanderbilt & You events in the spring! Vanderbilt & You are local events to welcome incoming and prospective students and parents to Vanderbilt.

Host a Coffee Social

Interested in hosting a local coffee social? Reach out to our office about how you can connect with other Vanderbilt families in your area.

Volunteer at On-Campus Events

Welcome new Vanderbilt parents, answer questions, pass out brochures, and assist families of first-year students during Move-In.

Assist with registration during Family Weekend.

Assist Admissions at Recruitment Events

Help Vanderbilt admissions counselors in your area at college fairs and programs, pass out brochures and materials, and assist prospective students and their families with questions.  Participate in additional virtual admission events.

Be a member of the Vanderbilt Admitted Student Community and help answer questions from incoming parents in this virtual environment.

Participate in Career Networking Events for Vanderbilt Students

Volunteer with the wond’ry

If innovation speaks to you, volunteering with The Wond’ry might be for you! Located in the heart of campus, The Wond’ry is Vanderbilt’s Center for Innovation and Design providing the tools and resources for the Vanderbilt community to give ideas life. Volunteer opportunities include:

  • Innovation Judges – Judge pitch competitions and the Map the System social innovation competition.
  • Innovation Advocates – Interview conducted by students to help them do customer discovery for an idea. To learn more about how to be an advocate visit this link.
  • Innovation Speakers – Depending on background and expertise, opportunities for speaker engagements related to innovation, social impact, entrepreneurship, and design throughout the year.
  • Innovation Mentors – 40 to 60 mentors supporting teams/idea the come through the Wond’ry.
