Vanderbilt University offers students, faculty, and staff the options of using a preferred first name in select systems. Learn about where your name shows up, who can see it, and how you can alter your preferences in the many components of the university’s online systems. Please note the following systems and documents require legal name: Diplomas, transcripts, insurance documents, financial aid, payroll and tax forms.
