Parenting Group
Date: Wednesday, September 11
Time: 12:00 p.m.
Location: Buttrick 123 (inside the Women’s and Gender Studies Suite)

The Parenting Group is a lunchtime program for the Vanderbilt community that addresses a range of topics, such as school choice, screen time, and gender socialization. Most meetings feature a guest who leads a discussion about a topic of interest to group members.

Join Stacy Simplican, Senior Lecturer in the Women’s and Gender Studies Department for a discussion on gender socialization. Lunch will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.

Work-life Workshops  
Date: Thursday, September 19
Time: 12:00-1:00 p.m.
Location: Sarratt 216/220

Work-Life Workshops cover a blend of self-care and professional development topics such as navigating organizational politics, salary negotiation strategies, stress management, mindfulness, and more for faculty, staff, graduate students, and postdocs.

This month’s lunch time lecture, “To Thine Own Self Be True: Advocating for Yourself at Work and in Life” will be presented by Diana Morris, Assistant Director, Student Accountablity, Community Standards, and Academic Integrity.

Lunch is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
