Featuring Allison C. Roman, Director of Diversity and Inclusion at Trinity University, come discover The Power of Storytelling: Testimonios, Narratives and the Words that will Set Us Free. Learn how storytelling is utilized as a tool when working with students from marginalized backgrounds (students of color, queer and trans students, women of color, etc.). Utilizing critical race theory, Black Feminism and Chicana/Latina feminist frameworks, participants will engage in exploring, telling, and reclaiming their own story to simultaneously participate and learn ways to encourage storytelling.
