Linda Welch, Director of the Office of Conferences, has successfully completed the ACCED-I Collegiate Conference and Events Professionals (CCEP) Certification Program and is now a certified Collegiate Conference and Events Professional.

The purpose of the CCEP program is to recognize those who have reached a high level of achievement in collegiate conference and event management by demonstrating competency in established benchmark standards, by exhibiting leadership and by sharing this knowledge.

The certification is designed to highlight ACCED-I professional mastery based on the criteria used by the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) in their development of professional standards and guidelines. The certification was created to elevate individual performance and to recognize those who have reached a high level of achievement in collegiate conference and event management. The CCEP certification is a vital tool of recognition and a mark of distinction in the industry.

The CCEP certification requires the completion of:

  • Answering 15 industry related essay questions utilizing the Council for Advancement of Standards in Higher Education (CAS) professional standards and guidelines
  • Compose and submit one new industry related essay question addressing key CAS criteria
  • Have an article published in a professional journal
  • 15 volunteer hours at the Annual ACCED-I Conferences

We congratulate Linda for achieving this distinction and strengthening the Office of Conferences!
