Early Reading Recommendations

The Acorn School believes that reading to young children supports their language, literacy, and ability to communicate and express their big ideas.

The ability to effectively communicate is an important life skill. The Acorn School strongly supports children’s many ways of expressing their big ideas and designs the learning environment to provide developmentally appropriate experiences foundational to children’s learning to love to read and write. We invite you to take a look at some of our favorite books that can be added to your environment at home.
