Our Game Day Rehearsal starts the day with our warm-up, opportunity to make any final adjustments, a run-through of our pre-game and halftime shows, and get HYPED for GAME DAY!
GAME DAY MEAL
• when: 3.5 hours prior to Kickoff
• where: Music Rehearsal Hall (MRH)

Following rehearsal, the band gathers in the MRH for our pre-game meal (provided). Following the meal, the band changes into their uniforms and prepares for the next performance.
Star Walk
• when: 2.5 hours prior to Kickoff
• where: Natchez Trace
Star Walk is our first public performance on GAME DAY! We lead the football team in a parade down Natchez Trace as they head to FirstBank Stadium.
Vandyville Performances
• when: 75 minutes prior to Kickoff
• where: Vandyville, Natchez Trace, & Lot #2
Our Vandyville performances is an opportunity for us to perform up-close with all of our fans throughout the Natchez Trace and Lot #2 tailgating areas. We typically make 2-3 stops (including a stop in Kids' Zone) to perform a brief pep rally with the Vanderbilt Spirit Squads.
Pre-Game Performance

Our on-field Pre-Game Performance showcases all of our traditional, Vanderbilt-themed music - from "Cheer For Old Vandy" to our fight song, "Dynamite". It also features classic formations such as the 'Anchor', 'Block V', and the 'V-A-N-D-Y' spellout!
In-Game Performance

During the game, the Spirit of Gold collaborates with the Vanderbilt Athletics' DJ to create the soundtrack for the audience. Listen for us in-between downs, during quarter breaks, and join in on the "Let's Go Dores" and "First Down" cheers!
Halftime Performance

The Spirit of Gold typically learns a new halftime show for every home game of the season! Our repertoire ranges from rock, pop, hip-hop, jazz, musicals, movie themes, and country (after all, we are in Nashville)!
Post-Game & "Alma Mater"

• where: FirstBank Stadium, Natchez Trace, Music Rehearsal Hall
After the game, the football team comes to our corner of the stadium and sings along as we play the Vanderbilt "Alma Mater".
The Spirit of Gold then parades back to the MRH along Natchez Trace, led by the cadences of the Vanderbilt Drumline.
Every Game Day ends with an a cappella rendition of "Alma Mater", sung by the Spirit of Gold gathered around the front steps of the MRH.
