Calling all Vanderbilt Athletic Band Alumni!
Whether you were a member of the Spirit of Gold, Joint University Bands, Vanderbilt Marching Band, or any other iteration of the Vanderbilt Marching & Athletic Bands - the Spirit of Gold invites you to perform alongside us at halftime during the Homecoming/Reunion Weekend football game on November 4th, 2023!
The deadline to reserve your spot in the Alumni Band performance is October 23rd, 2023.

Tickets
Participants in the SOG Alumni Band should purchase their own tickets to the game (there will not be a specific 'Alumni Band block' in the stands).
Individuals who have already purchased tickets to the game may use those.
Individuals who have not yet purchased tickets to the game can do so here.
Sheet Music & Drill
The Vanderbilt Athletic Bands Staff will provide the following to all participants who register:
- Woodwinds, Brass, & Percussion: Sheet music will be provided in advance.
- Guard: Choreography will be provided in advance.
- Twirlers: Audio recordings of the music will be sent in advance; you may create your own routines.
Since rehearsal time is limited, Alumni participants will have a designated area on the field as part of the show but not drill.

The Spirit of Gold Alumni Band performance is open to:
- Flute / Piccolo
- Clarinet
- Alto Saxophone
- Tenor Saxophone
- Baritone Saxophone
- Trumpet
- Mellophone
- Trombone
- Euphonium / Baritone
- Sousaphone / Tuba
- Colorguard (Flag)
- Twirler
- Snare Drum
- Tenor Drums (Quads)
- Bass Drum
- Cymbals
We will make every attempt to provide an instrument to those who request one by October 20th, 2023.
Requests made after that date will be hard to accommodate.
Attire / Uniform
Participants in the alumni band should wear:
- Black shirt (and/or jacket) with Vanderbilt logo
- Black pants
- Black shoes
