Join the Vanderbilt Spirit of Gold Marching Band for Band & Twirler Day on September 27th, 2025!
What is Band & Twirler Day?
The Spirit of Gold Band & Twirler Day is an annual event that invites high school students to experience Game Day as a member of the Vanderbilt Spirit of Gold Marching Band.
Band Day participants will…
Perform on-field with the Spirit of Gold during halftime.
Rehearse with the Spirit of Gold prior to the game.
Experience an SEC football game day.
- Receive a Band Day t-shirt (which will be worn during the performance).
Who can attend Band & Twirler Day?
Full high school bands as well as individual band members are welcome to attend Band & Twirler Day!
Students must be accompanied by an adult chaperone at a ratio of...
1 chaperone per every 10 students ( ages 9-14 )
1 chaperone per every 12 students (ages 15-18)
1 chaperone per student under 18 (if registering as an individual).
A link to purchase tickets for additional chaperones and family at a special Band & Twirler Day rate will be sent to all registrants.
- All participants must provide their own instruments, flags, batons, etc.
Music for the event will be made available for students to access prior to Band & Twirler Day. No music will be available on the day of the event.
Drum majors, color guard members, and majorettes are invited as well. Color guard members should bring their own flag and twirlers should bring their own baton(s).
We will not have a front ensemble for Band & Twirler Day. We suggest that those who typically play in a front ensemble bring cymbals, bass drums, tenor drums, or snare drums to play for the day.
