The Office of Immersion Resources(OIR) and the Scientific Immersion and Mentorship (SIM) student organization have partnered to organize Explorations in Research, convening researchers from all disciplines for an evening of networking and discovery.

This year's event will be entirely virtual. Join us on Tuesday, February 23 from 4 to 5:30 p.m. CT.

Douglas Schmidt, Ph.D., M.A., M.S.

Cornelius Vanderbilt Professor of Engineering • Professor of Computer Science • Professor of Computer Engineering • Associate Provost for Research Development and Technologies • Co-Director of the Data Science Institute

Professor Schmidt focuses on cyber-physical systems, big data science and risk & reliability. He is the co-director of the Data Science Institute and teaches courses in computer science and computer engineering.
