Meal Plans

We offer comprehensive meal plans in our network of dining halls, retail dining locations, cafes, Munchie Mart convenience stores, and even at local restaurants and food trucks. Vanderbilt's dining halls are a key part of campus life, and our meal plans are designed to enhance students' residential experience. All Vanderbilt students living on campus are required to participate in a meal plan based on their cohort year.

Meal plans are loaded onto your Commodore Card or mobile wallet and consist of a weekly meal allowance and flexible meal money. Simply tap your card or phone at a dining location, and the meal or Meal Money will automatically be deducted from your account. Most dining locations are all-you-care-to-eat, while others offer meals consisting of an entree, side(s), and a drink.

Meal plans are automatically assigned based on your cohort year; for a comprehensive list of meal plan components, visit 2023-2024 Meal Plans. You will receive a brochure in the mail with more information about dining, including meal plan upgrade options. If you wish to upgrade your meal plan, upgrades to your meal plans should be made by July 15.

A full list of dining locations can be found on the Campus Dining Website.

Taste of Nashville

This program allows you to use your Commodore Card at local partner restaurants, just as you would a debit or credit card. Purchases at Taste of Nashville locations are debited from your Meal Money. “Meals” cannot be used off campus. Visit the  Campus Dining website for the list of participating restaurants.
