Brightspace is Vanderbilt University’s primary course management system, providing a core set of digital tools designed to support teaching and learning across campus. This website provides information about Brightspace to Vanderbilt faculty, staff, and students.


The Vanderbilt University Institute for the Advancement of Higher Education (AdvancED) serves as Brightspace’s administrative home and provides both technical and pedagogical support for instructors using Brightspace. The EdTech team includes:

  • Paige Snay, Manager for Instructional Technology
  • Michael Coley, Senior Instructional Technologist
  • Erica Brandon, Instructional Technologist
