The Precisionists, Inc. Announces Pilot with HCA Healthcare to Tap Talents of Neurodiverse Workers

Posted by on Monday, April 24, 2023 in News.

We’re excited to announce that one of our partners, The Precisionists, Inc. (TPI), a Wilmington, Delaware-based organization focused on employment for adults with disabilities, is launching a neurodiversity employment program that will provide business support services as part of a pilot program at Nashville- based HCA Healthcare. The program will leverage the talents of a team of neurodiverse adults from TPI’s workforce to work in HCA Healthcare’s Information Technology Group (ITG).

“When properly assessed and trained, people with autism and other neurodiversities are extremely high- performing employees. TPI’s employees bring innovative approaches to performing critical and challenging jobs such as administrative business and IT functions,” said Ernie Dianastasis, CEO of The Precisionists. “When you consider that more than 80% of autistic adults in the U.S. are either unemployed or underemployed, we are making a true difference in engaging a significant, untapped labor force. We are thrilled to partner with HCA Healthcare, a leading healthcare provider and an employer committed to advancing diversity, equity and inclusion. This exciting collaboration with HCA Healthcare will continue to accelerate TPI’s growth and momentum in Nashville and the surrounding communities.”

Individuals taking part in the pilot program will be identified, assessed, trained and employed by The Precisionists. They will be performing a variety of support functions for HCA Healthcare’s ITG to include data analysis and data entry. While supporting HCA Healthcare, TPI consultants will also receive ongoing direction, training, and support from their TPI project leader.

“We have a variety of Information Technology roles that support our mission to care for and improve human life,” said Marty Paslick, chief information officer for HCA Healthcare. “We look forward to working with TPI and their neurodiverse employees through this collaboration.”
