Join the Frist Center for Autism and Innovation on Monday, Sept. 14th at noon for the next Autistics’ Roundtable Webinar. The September installment will be focused on international perceptions of autism.

The main speaker will be Thorkil Sonne, a family member advocate and the founder of Specialisterne. Sonne will be joining us from his home country of Denmark. Specialisterne is an international social enterprise promoting neurodiversity employment; its leaders believe we should focus on the abilities of neurodivergent people rather than exclusively the challenges.

Panelists will included Nina Hernitschek, a Vanderbilt Post-Doc from Germany, Yvonne Wu, a Vanderbilt employee from China, and Dave Caudel, the Frist Center Associate Director and a well-traveled American. Claire Barnett, the Frist Center communications coordinator, will moderate the discussion after Sonne’s presentation and take questions from the audience. All of the panelists and the moderator are autism self-advocates.

This webinar will be recorded and made available on the Frist Center YouTube channel. To view past webinars, click here. To join the September webinar via Zoom, use this link!

Is there testing available to see if my son with autism would qualify for some of the software and/or date entry jobs that are referred to in this seminar?
I believe he may be a good candidate. How do I go about getting him an apprenticeship?
    Thank-you
