Fall dates announced: Autism employment coach certification
The fall dates have been set for Forward Motion Coaching’s Asperger’s/Autism Employment Coach Certification. Forward Motion Coaching Principal and Certified Coach Barbara Bissonnette will be leading all sessions. Group One begins on Sept. 25, with live meetings from 10:00 – 11:30am Eastern time. Group Two begins on Oct. 1, with meetings from 4:00 – 5:30pm Eastern time. Each group will be limited to 10 participants.
The training qualifies for 23 GCDF (Global Career Development Facilitator) credits, which may be requested at the conclusion of the program. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the practicum can take place after the 8 weeks of instruction. Client meetings can take place in person or via telephone or Skype. A certificate of completion will be awarded to participants who successfully finish the program components. This certifies that the participant:
♦ Understands the impact of challenges related to interpersonal skills, executive function, restricted/repetitive interests and sensory processing/integration, as well as strengths that can be utilized in the workplace
♦ Is able to modify the traditional coaching model to meet the needs of individuals on the autism spectrum
♦ Can utilize strategies and techniques to assist individuals in finding the right job/career; finding a job; and staying employed
The cost of the Asperger’s/Autism Employment Coach Certification is $2,400.00 and includes written materials. Upon acceptance, a $250.00 deposit is required to hold a spot. Full payment is due prior to the first meeting. Participants accepted into the pro-gram may cancel and receive a re-fund, less a $175 processing fee, up to September 11, 2020. After that date there are no refunds for any reason. Cancellations must be submitted in writing. Forward Motion Coaching reserves the right to cancel the program due to low enrollment, in which case participants will receive a full re-fund of all monies paid.
