The Writing Studio’s Tuesday Writing Workshops are kicking off for the fall! Starting TOMORROW, October 21st, join us for two different writing workshops geared towards sharpening your writing skills. These workshops can be used for A&S Beyond the Core credit.

Level Up! Your Application Essays

In this one-hour workshop, we will learn how to navigate the challenges of composing an application essay, from deciding which experiences to incorporate to weaving together a compelling narrative. We will explore what an application essay should be aiming to accomplish and consider what application reviewers hope to learn about you in reading it. Whatever your particular focus, you will leave this workshop with strategies for how to share your story with readers in an impactful, memorable way, whether you are just getting started or well on your way to a finished application.
Level Up! Your Peer Review Skills

In this one-hour workshop, discover what it takes to be an effective peer reviewer, from exploring what to prioritize when reading your peers’ work to packaging feedback in the most helpful way. Complete with practice time geared toward your academic level, this workshop also serves as window into the world of writing consulting for those who may be interested in working at the Writing Studio.
