Join us for “Let’s Talk College Writing!” workshop 1 in the Writing Studio’s new Core Studio workshop series
Core Studio Workshops: Workshops Designed for First-Year Undergraduates
The Writing Studio is excited to launch a new weekly writing workshop series for 2025-2026 that we are calling our Core Studio Workshops.
Core Studio Workshops are open to all, but are intended specifically for first-year undergraduates as new college writers. Each of these weekly workshops will be an opportunity to focus in on a particular topic geared to helping you grow your skills and deepen your understanding of college writing in a group setting.
“Let’s Talk about College Writing” – Core Studio Workshop 1
Join us for our kick-off topic in the new Core Studio Workshop series: “Let’s Talk College Writing.”
In our one-hour session, we’ll chat about how college writing differs from high school-level writing, how to move from assignment prompt –> brainstorming –> drafting, and how to identify what writing strategies might work best for you. We will then have free time to talk about whatever writing projects are currently on your desk. All Vanderbilt students are welcome to attend!
