Event Operations Associate – Student Life Center/Alumni Hall

  • The SLC & Alumni Hall team is responsible for setting up large scale events that take place in the SLC (Commodore Ballroom, Board of Trust Room, & Lower Level Meeting Rooms), Alumni Hall (Reading Room, Memorial Hall, and Lounge), Benton Chapel, and the Engineering & Science Building (ESB).  Beyond setups, this team also works event shifts in their buildings, checking in with clients at the time of their event, providing excellent customer service and problem-solving to make each event run smoothly.
  • The SLC & Alumni entry level position is an Event Operations Associate, starting at $10/hr. Advancement to the Event Operations Manager level is available as positions open and qualifications match. Manager starting pay is $12/hr.

Event Services Associate – Commons

  • The Commons Center staff is responsible for staffing the information desk, setting up for events, and directing guests and clients during events in the building. As a hub of first-year activity, the Commons is usually bustling with events, meetings, and new students trying to learn their way around campus.
  • The Commons Center entry level position is an Event Services Associate, starting at $10/hr. Advancement to the Event Services Manager level is available as positions open and qualifications match. Manager starting pay is $12/hr.

Event Services Associate – Rand 307 Office

  • The Event Services Associates and Sales & Marketing Associates manage the responsibilities of the front desk in our Student Centers central office (Rand 307). This job includes taking phone calls, sending emails, processing reservation requests through our online booking software, EMS, as well as consulting with any clients who walk-in the office needing guidance.
  • The Event Services Associate position is geared toward our internal campus business – managing room reservation requests from fellow students for their student organizations as well as faculty and staff booking space for their department meetings and events.
  • The hours of operation for the office are 8:00am-5:00pm, so most shifts fall during this timeframe. Some nights and weekends may be needed to assist in our buildings with client site-visits or event setups.
  • This is an entry level position, starting at $10/hr. Advancement to the Manager level is available as positions open and qualifications match. Manager starting pay is $12/hr.

Event Services Associate – Sarratt|Rand + Res Colleges

  • The Sarratt|Rand + Res Colleges team is responsible for staffing the Information Desk at Sarratt|Rand and ensuring that all events in S|R, the Residential Colleges (Kissam, Bronson, & Zeppos), and the Community Events Space (CES) are set-up properly and running smooth.  They sell tickets for campus events, set up meeting rooms, troubleshoot a/v, manage the Studio Art Tables, and more!
  • Located centrally on campus and close to the bookstore, this team greets a lot of first-time Vandy visitors.
  • The Sarratt|Rand entry level position is an Event Services Associate, starting at $10/hr. Advancement to the Event Services Manager level is available as positions open and qualifications match. Manager starting pay is $12/hr. 

Production Services Associate

  • The Production Services team is responsible for setting up and managing audio and visual equipment for events on campus. This team handles everything from small meeting room a/v troubleshooting to large-scale lighting and audio for performances.
  • The Production Services position is an Event Operations Associate job, starting at $10/hr. Previous experience with audio-visual equipment preferred.  Advancement to the Event Operations Manager level is available as positions open and qualifications match. Manager starting pay is $12/hr.

Marketing and Social Media Manager (External and Internal applicants welcome)

  • The Marketing and Social Media Manager is a leadership position responsible for managing the social media team and generally directing marketing and social media efforts for the office.  They are required to work a minimum of 12 hours per week, and are required to provide leadership to their team by mentoring new associates, leading staff meetings and trainings, and performing integral administrative operations (i.e. making the schedule in When2Work, scheduling event photos, social media posts etc.)
  • Manager starting pay is $12/hr.

Event Services & Operations Manager (Internal applicants only)

  • The Event Services & Operations Manager is an internal promotional position for students who have previously been employed with Student Centers.  Managers may work in any of the student centers and hold responsibility for events, facilities, set-ups, a/v, etc.  They are also required to provide leadership to their team by mentoring new associates, leading staff meetings and trainings, and performing integral administrative operations (i.e. making the schedule in When2Work, scheduling setups in EMS, etc.)
  • Manager starting pay is $12/hr.

Event Services & Operations Associate – Summer Team (Priority for internal applicants)

  • The Event Services & Operations Associate – Summer Team is a position for students interested in working May-August to support summer conferences, weddings, Admissions events, and more in the Student Centers.  Shift work spans across all of our Student Centers buildings and includes working event setups (physical labor) as well as event shifts and managing front desk operations.  Part time and Full time positions are available, and priority is given to internal applicants with previous Student Centers employment experience.
  • Summer Associate pay is variable.
