Undergraduate Registration Groups

Students are assigned to either a Black or Gold registration group. These groups alternate which group registers first each semester (for example, Black registers first in the fall and Gold registers first in the spring). This rotation helps ensure fair access to courses over time.

Student Group vs. Class Standing

Registration appointment windows are based on student group, not credit standing.

• Student group (e.g., SOPH group) is used for registration timing.
• Class standing (e.g., sophomore standing) is based on earned credits.
