Brightspace Content is Getting Upgraded
Beginning with the Fall 2027 semester, Brightspace courses will begin using the New Content Experience by default. Additionally, Instructors now have the ability to enable or disable the New Content Experience in their own courses ahead of the change in Fall 2027. This is a gradebook using Points grading. There are four categories, each containing grade items with a point value. In this example, the Instructor is calculating the final grade as follows:
- 100 points – Attendance and Participation
- 60 points – Reflection Assignment
- 40 points – Quizzes
- 100 points – Mid-Term
- 200 points – Final Exam
- Total: 500 points
