Example of a Weighted Gradebook

This is a gradebook using weighted grading. In this example, the Instructor is calculating the final grade as follows:

• Assignments – 40%
• Quizzes – 10%
• Self-Assessments – 20%
• Discussions – 30%

Note that in some of the categories every grade item is weighed equally. You can see this in the Discussions category. In the Quizzes and Assignments categories, the graded items hold different weight.
