Example of a Points Gradebook

This is a gradebook using Points grading. There are four categories, each containing grade items with a point value. In this example, the Instructor is calculating the final grade as follows:

• 100 points – Attendance and Participation
• 60 points – Reflection Assignment
• 40 points – Quizzes
• 100 points Mid-Term
• 200 points Final Exam
• Total: 500 points
