Senior Director, Operations and Strategic Initiatives

Christina Cunningham, MBA

Christina Cunningham is the Senior Director of Operations and Strategic Initiatives in the Office of Undergraduate Education at Vanderbilt University, where she serves as Chief of Staff to Tiffiny Tung, Vice Provost for Undergraduate Education. In this role, Christina is a key member of the senior leadership team, responsible for driving cross-functional collaboration, aligning priorities, and supporting operational effectiveness across the division.
 
With nearly 20 years of experience in higher education, Christina has built her career around thoughtful leadership, strategic planning, and a deep understanding of university systems. She oversees core operational functions within Undergraduate Education and directs the Keegan Traveling Fellowship, a signature program that offers transformative global learning opportunities for Vanderbilt students.
 
Christina cares deeply about undergraduate students and is passionate about strengthening the infrastructure, relationships, and initiatives that contribute to their success. She is also committed to fostering a collaborative and supportive environment for the faculty and staff who advance the mission of Undergraduate Education.
 
A first-generation college graduate, Christina grew up in Schaumburg, Illinois. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Union University and an MBA from the University of Tennessee at Martin. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, relaxing on the lake, traveling, and doting on her two beloved dogs.
