Data Science Institute

Suiyang (Jenny) Mai is a junior at Vanderbilt from Shanghai, China, majoring in Political Science and Economics. She is interested in the creative application of quantitative analysis and data science skills on social science topics, with a special interest in computational textual analysis. In the past semesters, Suiyang has worked in the Media and Inequality Lab researching media’s effect on American public opinion. Outside of academics, Suiyang is a team leader for Vanderbilt Student Volunteer for Science, a member of the Undergraduate Honor Council, and a writer for the Vanderbilt Hustler.
