ACCRE would like to thank the Taylor Lab for joining us on a tour of the data center. Dr. Stephen Taylor, Assistant Professor of Physics & Astronomy at Vanderbilt University, leads the VIPER (Vanderbilt Initiative in Probes of Extreme Relativity) research group, which focuses on gravitational-wave astrophysics and pulsar timing arrays. During their visit to their visit to ACCRE, Dr. Taylor’s team explored how high-performance computing resources support their simulations and data analysis related to supermassive black hole binaries. This collaboration aims to accelerate their development of statistical methods for characterizing nanohertz-frequency gravitational waves, advancing the field of multimessenger astrophysics. We are very proud to support Dr. Taylor’s lab and cutting edge work. Go team!
