Research IT is now hosted as part of the Advanced Computing Center for Research and Education (ACCRE), and is Vanderbilt's premiere central research computing and data unit. This service aims to connect researchers with the full range of technology resources and programs they need to plan, conduct, and complete their work.

Established in 2018 through multiple faculty-led initiatives, the service was created to meet the growing demand for specialized IT support across disciplines. Today, it operates under ACCRE and reports to the Office of the Vice Provost for Research and Innovation, aligning closely with Vanderbilt’s broader research mission.

Whether you are developing new data-driven methods, scaling projects that rely on high-performance computing, or exploring ways to integrate advanced tools into your workflow, we provide tailored support to move your research forward.
In addition to direct technical support, we also provide consultative services to connect researchers with other campus resources. Acting as a liaison, we help researchers engage with VUIT, the Vanderbilt Libraries, and the Data Science Institute to ensure they have the right mix of expertise, tools, and support.
