Here at the Curb Center, one of our main goals is to support creative endeavors. On Tuesday, December 3rd from 9am-4pm, our Associate Director Steven Tepper will be delivering the keynote address at the Creative UNIversity Conference and Celebration. The conference will be held by the University of Iowa, with the objective to explore creativity in the workplace economy, as well as in the classroom. Steven Tepper will be speaking on “Building a Creative Campus: Can Creativity Transform Higher Education and Prepare Students for the 21st-Century Economy.”
Tepper’s address will kick off a full day of expert panels, exhibits, performances, research posters, presentations, and maker demonstrations. Also speaking will be President Bill Ruud and Provost Gloria Gibson on how creativity can enhance the university. Expert panels will include “Developing and Sustaining Creative Economies in Small and Mid-sized Communities,” “What Do Employers Want? Leaders Discuss the Demand for More Creative Employees,” “How is UNI Supporting Student and Faculty Creativity,” and “What Does it Mean to be a Creative Teacher?
