Fitness Programs: Fall 2024

We offer a variety of fitness programs to learn new skills and get you started with your workouts. Registration is required.

Instructional Programs:

REGISTER

Intermediate – Advanced Shotokan Karate

Take your Karate skills to the next level. Students should be able to complete the first kata on their own. Students should have previous experience with karate and be able to perform basic stances, blocks and strikes. Interested students who have no prior martial arts experiences should attend a beginner karate class or contact the instructor (Dan Ayers at dan.ayers@vumc.org) to ask permission and be advised on registration.

Easch session meets twice a week for 7 weeks.

Days:                     Tuesdays (Studio C) and Fridays (Studio B)

Time:                    5:30 – 7:30 PM                 

Location:             Studio C (Tuesdays) and Studio B (Fridays)

Dates:                   Session I:  August 27 – October 11

Session II: October – December 3 (no class Thanksgiving Break Nov 26 & 29)
