VU @ Nashville Pride Parade

Vanderbilt University at Nashville Pride Parade

All members of the Vanderbilt community are welcome to join LGBTQI Life to march in the annual Nashville Pride Parade that takes place on Broadway in June. Vanderbilt’s group will carry a banner and represent Vanderbilt’s 2SLGBTQIA+ and allied community at the parade.

This year, the Nashville Pride Parade will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2024.

All marchers must sign-up at http://vu.edu/2024pride or here. More information can be found on Anchor Link. Participants/volunteers will show up at 9:15am for parade kick-off at 10am and find their own transportation to and from the event.

Per Nashville PRIDE, please be aware of the following:

-No alcohol permitted; please do not show up intoxicated

-Port-o-potties will be available close to the line up area

-Expect the parade to last 2.5 hours from the 10:00 am kick off time (come prepared)

-Apparel: Tennessee law requires that all your parts (front and back) are covered

-Pay attention to the parade marshal and staff at all times

-Water guns, water balloons and silly string are prohibited

-Participants shall not throw candy or other items to spectators

-Candy or other items may be distributed to spectators by hand from parade participants
-Parade will go rain or shine; alerts will be communicated through social media channels

-Vanderbilt first aid and medical staff will be on site at the festival and along the parade route
