Assistant Professor, Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology

As a microbiologist focused on host–microbe interactions, I have become increasingly invested in understanding how the gut microbiota adapts to pathophysiological stressors, particularly during inflammation. My laboratory combines computational, genetic, and experimental evolution strategies to dissect and manipulate the molecular basis of stress resilience in commensal anaerobes.
