OCTOBER 24 - 25, 2008

Dear Class of 1963,

Whoever said "you can never go home again" didn’t graduate with the class of ’63. Sure, we’ve changed. Who wouldn’t after 45 years? But what’s really different? Nothing that a little surgery couldn’t fix! We're going home again this October, and we want you there. It’s the friends you toiled and played with, confided in, spoke your heart to, and turned to for solace.

Mark your calendars and make your travel plans now for Reunion Weekend, October 24 - 25. Since it’s also Homecoming, you’ll have the added bonus of seeing alumni from other classes and attending the football game against Duke.

You'll be impressed by all the changes at Vanderbilt, especially all the new and renovated buildings. Chairs Don’t worry, however—there are still plenty of campus landmarks you'll recognize! You will also want to visit Downtown Nashville where there are blocks and blocks of new restaurants, hotels, and entertainment centers stretching to the Cumberland River and beyond.

Our class goal for attendance for this Reunion is 163 people, and our class goal for gifts and pledges to Vanderbilt is $2,000,000. While one-year gifts are certainly welcome, we want to encourage everyone to consider a five year pledge—and you'll be hearing soon from our fundraising committee with more details.

Please join the celebration in October and help us make this the best Reunion ever!

Warmest Regards,

Jim Johnson and Kent Shailbo , Class Weekend Co-Chairs
Tooty Robertson Bradford and Kent Farris, Class Fundraising Co-Chairs
