    Project Summary

 

bloodAt the Vanderbilt Biophotonics Center, I have two projects focusing on the detection of choroidal melanomas and the characterization of bloodstains. The goal of the choroidal project is (1) develop  a   probe based Raman system along with automated algorithm  to   select features for characterization of bloodstains in presence of interference from the substrate background for forensic application. For the bloodstain project, the aim is to develop  a   probe based Raman system along with automated algorithm  to   select features for characterization of bloodstains in presence of interference from the substrate background for forensic applications.
