USAC Response Procedures Proposal

  • Formal Response Procedure bylaw changes (September 2022)
  • This proposal aims to establish a process and timeline for USAC Leadership and VU Administration to provide responses to USAC proposals.

Parental Leave Proposal

  • USAC Proposal on Parental Leave (October 2021)
  • At the October 2021 USAC meeting, the Parental Leave proposal, written by the Staff Life Committee, was approved by voting members.  Shortly thereafter, the proposal was sent to Vice Chancellors Kopstain and Churchwell, and to Chief HR Officer Cleo Rucker for consideration.  While we do not have a timeline of when and/or if any changes to the current Parental Leave policies will be adopted, we know VU Administration is interested in our proposal and is reviewing all staff leave types.  We will continue to share information as it becomes available.
  • UPDATE August 2022: The following email from Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Human Resources Officer, Cleo Rucker, outlines the response to the USAC Proposal on Parental Leave – which enhances paid parental leave for birth and non-birth parents to 8 weeks. Read the formal response to USAC. Full details regarding updates to parental leave and other wellness enhancements can be found here.
