Transfer Connect

Transfer Connect is the student organization that oversees the 20+ Transfer Student Leaders (TSLs). TSLs work collaboratively with International Orientation Leaders (IOLs) and student VUceptors to welcome new students to Vanderbilt each year. Moreover, the mission of Transfer Connect is to offer support, guidance, and community to incoming transfer students throughout their transition to academic and student life at Vanderbilt. This mission is accomplished through the facilitation of transfer group meetings during Transfer Student Orientation and through ongoing social programming open to all transfer students.

Over the summer, incoming transfers will be assigned a TSL who will serve as their guide at orientation and their peer mentor throughout the fall semester. Follow @transfersofvu on Instagram to learn more about the cohort of Transfer Student Leaders.

During Transfer Student Orientation, students who transfer to Vanderbilt will meet with their transfer group, which will be comprised of approximately 10-12 incoming transfer students, and spend significant time discussing important campus issues and student support resources. Following orientation, you can expect to continue to build social and academic networks with the members of your transfer group and the larger transfer community through continued optional programming.

The TSLs are overseen by the Transfer Connect adviser and the Transfer Connect Executive Board. The 2024-2025 Executive Board includes:

  • Brady Saiz, President
  • Andrew Blakemore, Vice President
  • Sarah Kane, Public Relations Chair
  • Eddie Blumberg, Selections Chair
  • Emma Mann, Training Chair

2025 applications are now open. TSLs are selected by early March annually. For more information about Transfer Connect, contact Roshaunda Ross-Orta.
