Transfer Connect is the student organization that oversees the 28 Transfer Student Leaders (TSLs). TSLs work collaboratively with International Orientation Leaders (IOLs) and student VUceptors to welcome new students to Vanderbilt each year. Moreover, the mission of Transfer Connect is to offer support, guidance, and community to incoming transfer students throughout their transition to academic and student life at Vanderbilt. This mission is accomplished through the facilitation of transfer group meetings during Transfer Student Orientation and through ongoing social programming open to all transfer students.
Over the summer, incoming transfers will be assigned a TSL who will serve as their guide at orientation and their peer mentor throughout the fall semester. Your TSL will reach out to you in July or August to answer any questions you may have as you prepare for your first semester at Vanderbilt. Visit the Meet the TSLs page to learn more about the 2021 cohort of Transfer Student Leaders.
During Transfer Student Orientation, you will meet your transfer group, which will be comprised of approximately 10-15 incoming transfer students, and spend significant time discussing important campus issues and student support resources. Following orientation, you can expect to continue to build social and academic networks with the members of your transfer group and the larger transfer community through continued optional programming.
