Transfer Connect is the student organization that oversees the 20+ Transfer Student Leaders (TSLs). TSLs work collaboratively with International Orientation Leaders (IOLs) and student VUceptors to welcome new students to Vanderbilt each year. Moreover, the mission of Transfer Connect is to offer support, guidance, and community to incoming transfer students throughout their transition to academic and student life at Vanderbilt. This mission is accomplished through the facilitation of Transfer Student Orientation and additional programming open to all transfer students.
Over the summer, incoming transfers will be assigned two TSLs who will serve as their primary peer guides. Your TSLs will reach out to you in July or August to answer any questions you may have as you prepare for your first semester at Vanderbilt. Visit the Meet the TSLs page to learn more about the 2020 cohort of Transfer Student Leaders.
During Transfer Student Orientation, you will meet your Transfer Group, which will be comprised of approximately 16 incoming transfer students, and spend significant time discussing important campus issues and student support resources. Following orientation, you can expect to continue to build social and academic networks with the members of your Transfer Group and the larger transfer community through continued optional programming.
