Living off campus comes with more independence—but you’re still part of a connected community. This section connects you to the resources that help keep you safe, healthy, and informed. From emergency contacts and mental health support to tenant rights and university expectations, you’ll find everything you need to navigate challenges with confidence. 

Off-Campus Conduct

Even while residing off-campus, all students enrolled at Vanderbilt are expected to abide by the policies in the Student Handbook, including the Good Neighbor Guidelines:

  • Introduce yourself
  • Respect your neighbor’s lifestyle
  • Keep the noise down
  • Keep your yard neat and picked-up
  • Park your vehicle (car/motorcycle/bicycle/scooter) in appropriate places
  • Be responsible when hosting gatherings
  • Communicate

Report a Concern

General Incident Form

  • Use this form to report nonacademic violations of university policy, including but not limited to alcohol or other drug violations, disorderly conduct, vandalism, and theft of property, that do not involve sexual misconduct or acts of discrimination. This form can be used to report incidents involving individual students or student organizations.
  • Reports made using this form are referred to the Student Accountability, Community Standards and Academic Integrity for review.
