EOA is responsible for coordinating disability support services and monitoring the accessibility of programs, activities, and buildings for Vanderbilt University, consistent with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendment Act of 2008, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. EOA assists departments with providing reasonable accommodations for faculty and staff with disabilities, investigates disability discrimination complaints, oversees the final step of the ADA/504 Grievance Procedure for Students, and provides training on disability related issues. Students can request disability accommodations through Student Access.
